Allu Arjun puts kerchief on NTR's director

There is lot of positive buzz about NTR’s upcoming film Oosaravelli which has caught the attention of Allu Arjun. Industry circles are telling so many good things about Surender Reddy’s Oosaravelli that Arjun reacted immediately and ‘reserved’ his berth to do Surender next movie.

If the sources are to believed Allu Arjun is willing to do a film under Surender Reddy direction. Mirapakaya producer Ramesh Puppala has Surender’s dates and therefore Arjun okayed to do a film under Yellow Flowers banner, owned by Ramesh.

Allu Arjun is very confident about Surender’s talent and he being in a desperate state to deliver a hit, he himself initiated this project. Let’s see if Surender lives up to Bunny’s expectations or not?

This film will be produced by Ganesh Babu on Parameshwara Arts banner. It is believed that Srinu Vytla told a family comedy script to NTR for which the latter was mighty impressed.

Ganesh Babu has registered an interesting title ‘Mafia – O Manchi Kutumbam’ recently at film chamber. Film sources say that this title is registered for NTR, Srinu Vytla’s movie. Nothing has been finalized yet for this film which is likely to go to sets in October.

Srinu Vytla is busy with Mahesh Babu’s Dookudu which is in the last leg of shooting. With bagging Mahesh and NTR’s movies in a row, Srinu Vytla is regarded as the top rated director in Tollywood.

key

Key Movie Review – Key Review - Key Telugu Movie Review - Jagapati Babu Key Movie Review - Key Rating Telugu Movie Review:

Jagapathi babu psychological Puzzle Thriller movie 'Key' released today.
Story:
Nine members apply for a job by seeing an advertisement. Management says that only one person will be selected out of through a psychological test. As per the test they will be given question paper and they should find the answer to it in ninety minutes. There will be certain rules and regulations to write the test and people who fail to follow them will get eliminated. Invigilator (Jagapathi Babu) hands them over question papers and explains the procedure. However, the contestants realize that there is no question in the papers that is handed over to them. They have to find the question and give the answer to it too.
Analysis:
Director attempted to make a novel film and that has to be lauded. He simply didn’t take the beaten to death track to prove to be a successful director. But it seems like he didn’t do much homework behind this script. It appeared like a one hour telefilm most of the time.

Thrill factor is completely missing despite having an interesting scenario. Not even the climax is up to the mark. All the incidents start to irk as the movie passes on. The narrative loses fuel within no time and the film starts to bore you. Thankfully the film lasts only 90 minutes but still fails to hold the interest in that less time.
Performances:
Jagapathi Babu’s role is just a cameo. He is Okay. Other actors did their part within their limitations. Producer and co producer Suresh too played comedic roles in this film.
Tehnicalities:
Technically Key is good for a film of its budget. Vijay Kurakula’s background score is engaging. Vinda cinematography is another plus point. Most part of the film is confined to a room but the cinematographer managed to keep the camera moving. Director has new ideas but didn’t know how to bring it on screen. He should do lot of homework before going on to sets.
Plus Points:
- Background score
- Cinematography
Minus points:
Loose ends in screenplay
- Poor climax
- Weak performances
Final Word: Key to boredom.
Box office predictions: It is a nonstarter at the box office and it will need aggressive publicity to grab the attention, leave alone drawing collections.

Key Movie Rating: 2/5

Banner: Dream Theater Productions
Cast: Jagapathi Babu
Music: Vijay Kurakula
Producer: Sukumar Reddy
Director: Nagendra Prasad

katrina kaif birthday

In 2008, it was a public spat between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. This year it's a much-criticised party and reports of meeting ex-Salman Khan and could-be lover Ranbir Kapoor at midnight. Katrina Kaif, it seems, cannot have a normal birthday party. The beautiful actor turned 27 on Saturday. Reports surfaced over the weekend that she met her ex Salman Khan on the eve of her birthday and met Ranbir Kapoor at a multiplex.
She also faced flak for partying at Sah Rukh Khan's bash on Friday.
"Nope. No celebrations for me. I guess it's not meant to be. No party for my birthdays. I was with my Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara team on Friday night. We did nothing to bring in my birthday. My friends Arjun Kapoor, Kabir Khan etc. had a quiet dinner at a Chinese restaurant," the Namaste London actor told Subhash K. Jha at Bollywoodhungama.com,
"In any case, I don't believe in bringing in birthdays. My birthday was on Saturday. I spent it quietly with my mother. And I did not meet Ranbir or Salman on Friday night."
After the fiasco of 2008, Katrina is reported to have been put off by birthday parties, until this year. She had planned a bash for friends, but could not see it through because of the Mumbai blasts on Wednesday.
"She was promoting her new film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara with the cast and crew on Friday until midnight when everyone decided it was time to bring in her birthday. Katrina refused, arguing that any kind of celebration at this time would be odd. Someone pointed out to her that it was a very private get-together and not a party. But Katrina refused outright arguing that it wasn't about right or wrong but about not feeling up to it," a source explained to Bollywoodhungama.com.
"She did put an appearance at Shah Rukh's home since Shah Rukh had thrown the party for the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara team... it'd have looked odd if she went missing," the source added.
Shah Rukh has faced his fair share of criticism for partying so close to the horrific Mumbai blasts from none other than Bal Thackery himself.
"The best birthday gift I can hope for? To find love this year, and for my films to do well. And also to keep Mumbai free of attacks," said Katrina,
"We can't ever begin to feel normal and do normal things like celebrate birthdays or even go out with friends if we have the fear of violence hanging on our heads all the time," believes the actor.

Brahmi gadi katha

Brahmi gadi katha Movie Review – Brammigadi Katha Review – Brammi gadi katha Rating, Telugu Movie Review: Varun Sandesh’s latest film under Eeswar Reddy’s direction is out in theatres now. It has an interesting title and attractive posters to pull curious crowds to the theatres. What’s this Brahmi Gadu’s story is about? Here is the review…  Story:  Shiva (Varun Sandesh) comes to his uncle’s house in Hyderabad on his way to Gulbarga. Shiva’s would be wife and his cousin Bhagya (Poonam Kaur) awaits his arrival along with her father (Jayaprakash Reddy). Shiva bumps into Maya (Asmita Sood) in the train and comes to know that she is in trouble. Maya goes away from Shiva after sometime and he will be left puzzled. But he finds her again in Hyderabad and goes to help her as she is being chased by goons. At the same time a film director Brahmi comes to narrate a story to Shiva’s uncle. Surprisingly everything which Brahmi narrates happens in real. There is a dark secret behind Maya which puts Shiva in big problem. Rest of the story is about Maya’s background and the problem that has been chasing her.  Analysis:  This film’s plot reminds us of A film By Aravind. That film was a thriller and this is a comedy. Any film would seem interesting if one of the characters narrates what happens for real. However, a tight screenplay is required for such plots to keep the audience interested. Director Eeswar Reddy who also penned the screenplay for this film has utterly failed in that department.  Screenplay is the main drawback of this film as there are too many holes to fill and loose ends which need to be connected. Few scenes involving Brahmanandam and Jaya Prakash Reddy clicked well due to the awesome timing of both the actors. But the director failed to light up the scenes where the duo is absent.  Chase sequences are poorly shot. This is a ‘on the run’ film but that thrill is missing throughout as the chasers doesn’t look menacing enough. Female lead’s character is the backbone of the narrative and she has failed to give right expressions which didn’t help on filling in the emotional quotient.  Performances:  Varun Sandesh is fine but still needs to improve a lot. He is still not working on his biggest flaw, dialog delivery. Also he needs to put on some weight as he can’t pull off these roles which need him to flex muscles at times. Asmita Sood is a pain to watch. She doesn’t know the basics of acting and we will be terribly tortured with her expressions as it is hard to find out what she is actually trying to convey! Krishnudu is just Okay. Brahmanandam is the hero of this film. His mere presence is having audience in splits. Jaya Prakash Reddy is good despite being loud. Poonam Kaur is not bad. Nagineedu is minimal. Other actors do their part as per the director’s requirements.  Tehnicalities:  Koti’s songs are awful. Background score is pathetic. Padmasri’s dialogs lacked the required punch. Cinematography is average. There is nothing much to speak about other departments.  Eeswar Reddy’s inability has been highlighted yet again. He can’t handle the films despite having interesting plots at hands. Screenplay and direction are the biggest minus of this film.  Plus Points:  - Few comedic scenes  Minus points:  - Screenplay and direction - Heroine’s flashback is silly - Climax is bad  Final Word: Brahmi gadi Katha – A comedy ‘story’ that ends up as a tragedy!  Box office predictions: Brammi gadi katha may appeal to audience who doesn’t mind to watch a film for few cheap laughs. It may fare better than Varun Sandesh’s recent flops due to the entertainment factor.  Brahmi gadi Katha Review rating: 2.5/5 Banner: Multi Dimensional Banner Casting: Asmita Sood, Poonam Kaur, Krishnudu, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Brahmanandam, Varun Sandesh Music: Koti Producer: P Ram Mohan Rao Director: Eeshwar Reddy

kanchana

It's become a fad to have a transvestite or a gay character in movies these days and make a mess of their presence and motive in the drama; not everyone comes up with a politically correct or an entertaining film. Anyone with a passing familiarity to the recent releases of this genre clichés will be able to shout every line along with the actors and also predict what the next move of the character would be. In Kanchana, Lawrence — the seriously over-rated actor — is a cross dresser and is committed to dole out some hysterically over-the-top dramatics. The script demands Raghava (Lawrence), a youth of marriageable age, to climb on to his mother's (Kovai Sarala) hip because he is a wimp and is paranoid of ghosts. But who's the ghost? To reveal the plot would be hurting prospects of Lawrence's ambitious dubbed plot that has a release over 250 theatres this week.
The film is awkwardly cobbled together with big shifts in character that comes with an explanation only in the last 20 minutes of the film. The character of the transvestite is more based on wishful thinking than plausible reality. Lakshmi Rai plays his sister-in-law's sister who is designed to fall for him at first sight. She is a model who believes in flaunting her skimpy loose designer wear at home in the mornings and sports a skin tight dress that barely allows her skin to breathe before she hits the bed at night. In this exceedingly loud film, the ghost horrifies the characters and the characters terrorise the audience. Kovai Sarala and Lawrence occupy the entire screen. Sarat Kumar makes a guest appearance that's not quite appreciated. With quite a few films opening this week, it shouldn't be hard to find a movie more appealing than this.

oosaravelli

Surender Reddy’s talent was rightly spotted by young NTR when the latter was immensely impressed with the former work in the film Atanokkade. Surender then made Ashok with NTR in the lead. However, Surender failed to deliver the goods and live up to NTR’s expectations with that film. Ashok was a miserable flop and Surender has been regarded as the culprit for that failure.

Later Surender made Atidhi with Mahesh and that too despite the huge hype surrounding it ended as a damp squib at the box office. It was with Raviteja’s Kick that Surender managed to pull out another hit.

After Kick, Surender planned to make a film with Ram, but unfortunately that film was called off. At this juncture, NTR has given him a chance to direct him again and that is how Oosaravelli took shape. Surender, who is very grateful to NTR, is doing his best to give him a memorable hit with this film. Let’s hope Surender does his best this time around.
